Thursday Practice Cancellations!
There will be NO PRACTICES for ALL teams today due to poor field conditions and cold.
Practices will resume next Tuesday, March 3rd.
Wolfpack Gear Now Available!

some Official Central Seattle Wolfpack gear to help
with that effort!
This year, thanks to the efforts of Dinah Scherwin, we are offering
the classic gray hooded sweatshirt and the stylish
Purple lined warm up jacket, both emblazoned with
the Wolfpack’s logo . The hoodie is only $20 and
the jacket goes for $35... an excellent value! The

Both are available in an assortment of youth and
adult sizes. Please get the Order Form here, complete it

All players at all levels are reminded that League requirements mandate that an approved mouthguard must be worn during games and practices.
In game situations, a player may be ejected or his team may be subjected to a technical foul (with an ensuing 2 minute penalty) for not having a mouthguard. This is for your player’s protection. Please cooperate.
The Schedule of Games for the 2009 Season is mostly completed. The 3/4’s schedule is still being finalized, but should roughly parallel the 5/6 and the 7/8 Purple. For your convenience, here are the schedules as we now know them:
I have a feeling that
some game times may be in error on the 7/8 Purple.
I’ll try to get clarification and confirmation and
will update you as necessary. Eventually we plan to
have a calendar with your team’s schedule in a
downloadable form for your convenience.
Practice continues this week for the older guys, with
3/4’s scheduled to add to the mix starting next
Tuesday, the 24th.
Practice Schedule Changes
Nothing major here. The 3/4 coaches will be out of town due to midwinter break next week, so they have decided to start their practices the following week, on Tuesday, February 24th. Times are still as originally scheduled, starting at 4:30-6 (or dark till daylight saving time kicks in).
The other teams will start their practice schedule this Tuesday, the 17th, as previously posted.
On another note, we are trying to track down missing jerseys from last season. If anyone still has theirs, and you have not been previously contacted, please drop us a line so we do not have to spend the money to replace what’s not actually missing. This, of course, pertains only to those players who were with us last season.
Coaches have been given their team rosters, so individual teams may choose to start up their own lines of communication. We’ll try to continue to be a clearing house for all information that is important, but most likely coaches will be doing a lot of their own communications with you all as well.
To head off that inevitable question, NO the 7/8 teams have NOT been split yet. That will be done by the League Officials (Ryan Kelly, not us) after practices have commenced...
One last reminder to all to get your USLAX number to us. If we do not have it on file, your player will not be allowed on the field either for practice or games. As of right now, we have 12 players from eight families whose eligibility remains in question. Get registered, renew or verify your registration status from US Lacrosse.
Seattle Prep LAX Clinic
Word has reached us through one of our Wolfpack member-families that Seattle Prep will be hosting an all ages skills clinic Saturday, February 28th at the Queen Anne Bowl. This clinic will be presented by Prep’s coaching staff, current and former college players and members of Prep’s own Varsity team. Cost is $35 per player for the 4-hour session, and includes a T-shirt and snack.
You can get a copy of the Registration form here. This looks like a great opportunity for experienced players to “get the rust out” and for new players to “get their feet wet.” Both are appropriate concepts as we approach the 2009 season at The Swamp.
Also this is a reminder to all 7/8 players that the last of Peter Vogt’s preseason workouts is tomorrow, February 10th at 3:30-4:30 at SODO Arena Sports.
We have been getting some email “bounced” back to us since we’ve moved to our new server. To receive updated information promptly, please add our email address to your “Approved Sender List”. That address is: info@wolfpacklax.net
Last Arena Sports Session
The final Peter Vogt-sponsored preseason clinic for 7th and 8th grade players will be held this coming Tuesday, February 10th, at SODO Arena Sports. It will run from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. As always, please arrive promptly and bring $5 to give to Peter for paying for these sessions out of his own pocket.
Last week immediately following our workout, the Garfield High Men’s team had a similar workout. Looks like The Bulldogs have got some pretty big guys this year, and we wish them the best for their season. Their competition will be fierce...
Once again, if you have not signed your player up with US Lacrosse, and we do not have a valid registration number on file, he will not be allowed to participate in Lax activities this season. This is a League requirement. Registration with USLAX provides the League with enhanced insurance coverage, and qualifies our league for special events and benefits throughout the season. If you have signed up already, you should have received an email coupon good for $25 off any $100 qualifying purchase from Sports Authority.
You can join, renew or check your player’s registration status by going to their Registration Page. We’ll be contacting those players whose numbers we don’t have later. If you have any question about your son’s status, please contact us.
In case you may have missed it, here is a link to Practice Information for the 2009 Wolfpack Lax Season.
Arena Sports Reminders
There is another of Peter Vogt’s preseason workouts for the 7/8 players at Arena Sports tomorrow, February 3rd starting at 3:30 pm. Please note: This session will last only one hour, NOT the two that we had posted earlier. Sorry for the confusion.
There will be a final session next Tuesday, February 10, also at 3:30-4:30. As usual, please be sure to arrive promptly, and send your player with $5 to help Peter V offset the cost of these sessions.
Also, please see this previous posting regarding Practice Information for the 2009 Wolfpack Season.
