10’s games are done, and the results are in:
Our 3/4 guys played their final game this weekend, facing Northshore at Magnuson Park. Simply put, they played their best lacrosse of the season. Even though they ended up on the short end of the stick, they showed some real progress, as their passing game was spot on. They executed several fast breaks and were clearing the ball well. From observing them all season, it appeared that these boys enjoyed themselves and have been a blast to watch.
Thanks to the coaches and parents who helped make their season successful.
If you haven’t turned in your jersey, please do so at your earliest convenience. You can email us here at Wolfpack Central and we’ll make arrangements...
The 7/8 White faced powerhouse Queen Anne at Cleveland. Details have been sketchy, but it appears that Queen Anne simply overpowered their opponents. Attackman Anthony Parker scored the ‘Pack’s only score of the day. If anyone has other info about this game, please feel free to drop us a line so we can get a decent game summary up...
The 7/8 Purple faced local rival Highline on postage stamp-size Chelsea Park. In the lacrosse version of arena football, the Pack jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. With the day’s warm temperature, it was a blessing-in-disguise that they didn’t have to run a full length field. Solid defensive play protected a lead that was never really in jeopardy. Final score was 4-2.
Our 5/6 Wolfpack also faced Highline at the same mini-field in the weekend’s final contest. After a shaky start, which saw Highline score on their first possession, the Central team settled down and played a solid first half, getting two goals back in short order. In the end, Central came up short, but played some great lacrosse anyway. These guys have also made tremendous strides this season, and will be a force to be reckoned with next year.
As the season winds down, we’d once again like to get the word out that all game jerseys and loaner equipment must be turned in to your coach/team parent. Practice pennies are your to keep. (I know that my two kids’ are pretty grungy anyway...)
Practices will continue this week at the regular time (5-6:30) and the regular days (Tu & Th) at Cleveland HS.
I have also added some recent photos to Photo Album...
